Smokeless pipe?

I was looking at getting a pipe.I wanna chamber pipe to stash weed in and I came across this:

It's just what I'm looking for but I'm curious as to what it means by smokeless.Is the smoke kept in the bowl under the cap?Is it helpful for concealing the smell?Any other advantages?Thanks.

yar smokeless theres a small hole in the top of the bowl, the top screws on and off and no smoke leaves the hole, its nice but harsh

this is in regards to a pipe, not tobacco.


its not really smokeless, and it won't conceal the smell. basically the cap just helps put out the ember quicker by starving it off oxygen. when you are lighting and drawing on the pipe, there is airflow, so the herb burns. when you stop, theoretically it should go out.


i just like it because i can pack a bowl and carry it without worrying about spilling.
