24hrs veg inside to 16hrs outside; WILL THEY STILL BUD?

Postby flopnquads » Sun May 09, 2010 10:42 am

That's my question...in southern ca I'm 24 hrs indoor for a veg cycle. If I continue to put my girls outdoor through the summer, will they continue to bud????

continue to bud? as in there budding under 24 hours? if thats the case and there autoflowering plants then yes and they should be ready soon. if they haven't started flowering yet when u put them outside they will pick up and start flowering sometime around mid-late august. if they are not autoflowering and budding under 24 hours of light they will end up revegging. i think 24 hours of veg is a waste of electricity, a little "sleep" is necessary for my ladies. they always seem to grow at night when the light is off.

Indoor, under the 24hr veg cycle they are NOT budding, they are vegging. I then put them in the greenhouse for their budding cycle of 8-10wks. Its now spring and I was concerned that the longer days through summer may negatively affect my girls budding cycle. However, after thinking it out a bit more, I should be all right because the ratio of 24hrs veg v 16hrs of summer light for their budding cycle is 67% light deprivation, which is the same as 18hrs veg w/ 12hr budding cycle.

if you put ur plants outside right now, greenhouse or not, it will NOT bud for 4 months. if you want them to bud, u will have to either do them inside, or build a deprivation house for them. if you put them outside now, they will continue to veg until augest when they will start to flower.
