Basically, he's not pro-marijuana but he's not anti-marijuana. He wouldn't necessarily push the process of decriminalization and legalization but he doesn't seem like he'd stop it either.

Bill Clinton is that dude, he always has slick shit to say.
Obamas stand on this isn't bad at all, he's really whatever to it, more towards legalization than anything.

Thats what we said almost 40 years ago!!! In the early 70's (NORML was relatively new on the scene)rumor had it that RJ Reynolds and Phillip Morris had hundreds of thousands of acres of weed in Mexico. It was rumored that packaging and ad campaigns were in place just waiting for the day our gov't wised up and figured out that prohibition doesn't work. And this was back in the 70's.
I was thinking today about how stupid these laws are. It is not illegal to get intoxicated (Alcohol), only to do certain things while under the influence. Thats how it should be with ANY drug! Treating alcohol any different than other drugs is a grave mistake. I'd much rather find an ounce of weed in my kids room than a quart of Jack Daniels. I spent 25 years of my life in an alcoholic stupor. We (America)still haven't learned that prohibition does NOT work.
But to get back on topic, I believe that Barak is a glimmer of hope to get back to the USA our forefathers envisioned. Look at it this way....What has the current system done for US as citizens? He cannot screw anything up any more than things already are.
