There have been studies that "prove" both points. Most of them aren't legit and are biased. Some drug counselers come to my school anually and preach facts that I know and understand but that confuse other people. Numerous people have their views changed by confusion. They think cannabis is as bad as herion or cocaine simply by not understanding facts. Also on the note of antidrug I saw a commercial that was so unintelligent and unrelated that it didn't offend me that they were calling me dumb. In it this kid smokes weed and then tries to fit his entire fist in his mouth. Then, it got stuck and apparently one of the biggest effects of marijuana is trying to fit your hand in your mouth. If any antidrug companies actually have a chance to read this you need to try not to humor me and try to prevent some 10 year old by trying pot and harder drugs. Some of these commercials are more entertaining then they are "antidrug."
I personally don't think cannabis causes cancer. They don't know exactly if cannabis causes cancer. It is undeniable that tobacco does. Cannabis is outlawed for a number of reasons and tobacco, alcohol, paper, and oil companies know that if cannabis is legalized they will lose a lot of money. Is it hard to believe a conspiracy is being held? Also the "good" people who come to educate schools and parents charge anywhere from $500 to $1500 an hour. Maybe their interest isn't to prevent drug use but to make a lot of money in just an hours work. If cannabis was legal they wouldn't have as much work because it seems everybody wants to educate about cannabis than about hard drugs like cocaine and more common of a drug alcohol. It is a conspiracy by numerous companies who have interests in other things rather than if it causes cancer. They just need to come up with reasons to keep it illegal so they hire crooked labs to conduct studies that supposedly show cannabis causes cancer. I have never seen how many participants are even in these studies. For all I know they conducted these studies on lab rats and want to compare the studies to humans.
