well i beleave its been determined that marijuana smoke contains the same omount of carcinogens as tobacco. but they also say the reson the average cigg is better for you then a tipical joint is bacaus its got a filter, becaus as most of us know tobacco today is full of deadly chemicals, known carcinogens and all around hazardus material. also not every joint you roll is gonna be a gram joint, well i found out that one cigg contains exactly one gram of dry tobacco. so like jackel said we doint smoke nearly as much ciggs and pot joints, think about it one carton of ciggortes is almost a half pound of tobacco. wich coust only 40 bucks at the most, and 7 ounces can go for about 1,500 if you find the right guy. what im trying to get at is that a 1/4 ounce can often times be a greater help then a whole carton of smokes, or atleast a full ounce. i mean my dad goes through two cartons a month, thats over a pound of tobacco, if he wasnt soo heavely addicted he might just get my with only a few ounces of pot.
also vaporizors are slowly changing the way people consume pot, well atleast in the medical feild. vaporization eliminats over 90% of the cansrious tars and other by-products of combustion. i cant really say anything on whether it stunts brain developmant, that you can research on your own. but what i do know is that not only will smokeing pot thoeretically lead to cancer, emphisema or other repetory track infections. smokeing is very bat for you and is something you need to think about befor you just light up. my mom once told me that ciggs are just another way to slowly suficate and end your life sooner then it needs to, well she doesnt think so but i see pot as just as bad. given that tobacco is laced with rat poison and formeldihyde, pot smoke clogs your lungs with just as much tar as any form of unfiltered tobacco.
and the thing about that marijuana stamp tax was not only that you needed a stamp to buy grow or posses but they didnt ever make them avalable to enybody. so ya prohabition started in the 30's, prohabiton of medical and recreational use as well as industrial production of hemp. the only thing the CSA ever did was clasify cannabis with all other dangerious halucinogens, not that pot was dangerious or halucinogenic but they needed somewher for it to go.
