accidental growing!

when we smoke we throw our seeds into our yard. well, the other day we noticed, among other weeds, a nice two foot mari plant! since we had to move it, we did the best we could. planted it in a well sunned area, with potting soil, and watered with room temp. water. but the leaves are looking a wilty. we have pruned it some. but we still just don't know what else to do. we want to save our baby, someone help, please!
