a yield question

hello,I have a question aqbout how much pot I get from one plant.The web site I'll be buying my seeds from says the white widow plant will yield 350 to 400 grams per plant.But I heard a guy talking on here and he said he got a pound out of 5 plants.What should I beleave.
A friend with weed, is a friend indeed.....
