pH problems??

Postby mariematt » Tue Jan 31, 2012 10:44 am

I am a newbie to Concept420 site and this is my first thread. I am not sure whether posting link from start is permitted, usually such members are termed Spammer..... And i don't want to be one of them.

I am a hydroponics grower and doing lot of research to discover new things about hydroponics. Hydroponics is a method of growing plants using mineral nutrient solutions, in water, without soil. For growing you plants hydroponically you require hydroponics system. Hydroponic system made up of hydroponics nutrients and hydroponics equipments. To be 'complete' a hydroponic nutrient needs to have the essential elements for plant growth these are: Nitrogen (N), Potassium (K), Phosphorus (P), Calcium (Ca), Magnesium (Mg), Sulphur (S), Iron (Fe), Manganese (Mn), Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn), Molybdenum (Mo), Boron (B), Chlorine (Cl). You also need to maintain the pH level. Generally in the pH range 4.0 to 6.0, all nutrients are available to plants. The “p” stands for potential and the “H” stands for Hydrogen. Now question in your mind would be What is Potential Hydrogen? A scientific explanation would state that pH refers to the plant’s ability to attract hydrogen ions. A less scientific explanation says pH is the acid/alkaline balance. While searching on Google something related to growing marijuana, i found an interesting article about "Medical Hydroponics Marijuana pH & Nutrients" from Bigbudsmag.com. And i thought of sharing with you all.

ph

post away, Information sharing is what these boards are about. I've rtesently started adjusting ph, I'm a dirt farmer but decided to try it since i checked my PH and it was allmost in the blue of GH's indicator test kit. since then ive used a shit load of up to balance it into the 6.0 range. I've cut clones twice since starting it on a batch of 1 gallon pots and bunches of clones i layed into a soil bed, re-growth after cutting was much faster having the proper ph means you have the proper nutrient cycling with your plants and they hulk out. I'm in the first third of one of my flowering spots and have yet to see the results of flowering but vegetation blew up after getting the ph right. I bought an EZ cloner and had my first success w/hydroponics rooted about 50 of a 100 cuts that i stuffed into a 30 site lol i wouldn't recommend it because you have to constantly take out the cuts that don't make it and over stuffing the neoprene disks makes gaps for solution to squirt out leading to more clones to rot and fail. love my ez cloners though im looking for more substantial collars then just neoprene cause i had clones growing roots into the neoprene material that i had to throw away.
Seriously the more medical patients that become educated and aware of cultivation the more they will be empowered, Reaserch and development is my passion.. aside from quality control :)
