I find my self the recent recipient of 60 beans from a UK breeder. Dude just gifted them to me. 30 are a Jack Herrer x Viking cross, the other 30 are a Jack Herrer x Aurora Indica cross. There are at least 3 others growing the same strain, so we're all comparing notes.
I'm running the Valhalla Jack this go around. After vegging 25 girls, I ended up with 16 really nice females. (I gave 4 really nice females to another grower. Couldn't bring myself to kill 'em)
I grow in soil, all organic (or mostly so). This go around, I'm testing the which is better MH or HPS or BOTH. one side of the room has 800w of hps, the other 800w of MH with a mixed spectrum coverage in the middle.
Since I had good genetics this time, once I found out the sex, I cloned the shit outta them to the tune of maybe 300 clones. I gave away 4 flats of rooted clones to a couple other growers, and still have enough left over to make me really nervous.(Not to mention my wife) I figure that I have a great insurance policy against catastrophic crop failure, I can also do a quick turn around SOG run when these are harvested. Also gonna try and stress a female enough to throw some nanners so I can get some seed from this strain. Here is my cloning area:
Here we are early on:
Thats as hot as it gets inside the room. generally, it stays between 75 and 78. It drops to around 60 at lights out. Humidity stays between 50% and 60%.
Lights come on here at 9:00, so I'll post more pics then.
So far, there aint alot of difference between the MH and HPS. They all vegged pretty much at the same rate, but the mixed spectrum seems to be taking the lead in bud development, followed closely by the HPS. As I said, so far, there isn't enough difference to comment on. Inter-nodal length seems to be consistent (?) The show is really just starting tho, 'cuz bud development is just beginning. My money is on the mixed spectrum.
Hey all you Ga growers! Whats up?
You can lead a horticulture,.............................But you can't make her think!!!
