well its exactly one week that my room has been on a 12/12 cycle, ive taken clones and re-poted everything into 5 gal pots for their home streach.
my AC is in action and so ive taken the 400MH down (ive fliped the breaker running the 400 mh 600hps the can fan AND airconditioner) so i cut out the 400mh and put my floresant fixture back in action.

i was talking to the hydro shop guy about why he didnt have oasis cubes.. i bought the rapid rooter kit, so ive got alot of GDP and kush clones, some TGU and maui then im germinating 4 c99xsex seeds.

ha, aslong as my clones take root ill be cool. but to be honest i dont think rapid rooter is as good as oasis, possably not as steril and they never dry out makeing a bad environment for roots/might even get slimy i dunno. everything is green still a week after cloneing, stiff and healthy. they just may take longer to root if they dont start dieing in the next week.
one things for sure im puting my seeds in dirt not no rapid rooter plug, thoes are germinated BTW only took 3 days to pop. 4 seeds should show atlest 1 girl for my garden and some males for a project im getting together, collecting pollen or somehow breeding c99 w/TGU or GDP.

so the 1 TGU that flowered outside i have tied hoazoltan and stuck under the HPS with the granddady and purple kush @ day 7 of 12/12. that bitch took up neer half my garden though, nine plants and one is just fuckin HUGE.
Image
the other girls have been vegging for like a month more or less, smaller then any ive flower thuss far. i mean their far less branching and my aim is do decress the % of under growth/wispy shit. theas are good size to flower i think, just slightly cramped cause of the TGU. ImageImage Image Image
thoes two wher cloned at the same time only i took a clone from the top of her, their more tops but its shorter and bushier.. i try to take clones from the sides because cutting from the top stunts growth vigor i think, anyway theirs the rest of the pics. Image

tomorrow ill buy some hydrogen piroxide and mix with water diluted at like 1:10 and water with that, it's allmost like their stem rott but the clones are still green and pirky.. the stem was shrunking on one and it wigled out of its rapid rooter, just replanted it better and water much less now still opening the dome every day for air exchange.

sounds good. i didnt really like growing the c99 because it was too lanky but it should make a pretty good cross(it sure as hell did with my bagseed that im growing now). hopefully those clones root if not u can blame that on the hydro shop for not havin oasis. idk why but alot of places dont carry it, and the thing that sucks about those rapid rooters is once they dry up they just dont stay wet ne more and then there pretty much garbadge.

the rapid rooters are shady because they are organic material pre-moisened in a bag sittin on this doods shelf, i half blam my self for not asking how long it was sitting their or when the shelf life is/was. i do know where to get oasis cubes and thats my bet from here on out;
http://www.gchydro.com/detail.asp?product_id=XOASIS
the oasis foam is steril and innert until i open the box then its best kept in big ziplick baggies. i like the stuff cause you can shave away the exess in the end and it doesnt seem to hold the clones back at all. i dont like the fact sapid rooters are kept moist on the shelf and suposed to be a steril rooting medium.

the stores here keep the oasis in an open box. no problems with them though. just make a new hole in the top to put clones, the holes that come in the cubes never seem to fit clones well

well im getting some gnats back some how, maby not enough DE or i should of treated the root ball of the 1 galins befor tranplanting. now they are breeding in my rapid rooters  i had some idea they would cause its mad of compost organic matter ive treated them only with serinade to treat some white mold or powdery mildue (i cant deside) that appears only on leafs and a few stems.

im gunna put one of theas outside next to the big girls do to a pre-flower reaction w/another GDP, the others look well but had a scare of frost the niddle of last week maby some shock i spose.. i def got out too early setting things back some, just to get my indoor crop into flower befor it gets outa hand.
i feel good that theirs a new crop starting, a chance to make some changes as i plan on keeping it all super simple. maby by adding some peatmoss i can retain more watter, and some wrom castings/compost will incurage a culture of micro organizms, also things like dolimite lime, perlite and even kelp meal are begining to look promising. if i can keep them all in their own containers labeled and organized then mesuring and mixing is the only other chore come time to transplant. i figure by adding some food now slow release guano, whathave you ill get to apply less grow or bloom fertilizer. one thought to keep is if the soil is intended for vegging palnts or flwoering, differant ammendments would follow.

i got a free gallion sample of 'Vermicrops vermi 't' solution on a trip to the hyrdo shop and used it in like a cup per 5gallions in the pots and the outdoor garden, even foliar fed some highly diluted indoors and out. the stuff worked i think, its a compest tea brewed by the stoor, or you can buy a brewer. i also picked up a quart pure bland pro soil formula and aquart of a catalist called Liquid Karma. im going speringly with the liquid karma and even more with the food, i plan to feed only once maby twice a week to reduse salt buldups and how many times/for howlong i need to leech the pots. something is makeing my plants unhappy the last few weeks of flower and then the powerdery mildue sets in *not on the buds amazingly, it gets all over the leafs and their stems but not the buds.

thoes clones shown above had mungus gnats, the infestion was bad and it took alot away from my babaies. they will just take longer to come back and may not every be 100%, yesterday i culled off the extra plants keeping what im allowed and mainly taking the # of soil pots down a bit. crushed up like 3 of thoes 'mosquito dunks' that contain BT subspecies isralis[sp] i found the company that makes Gnatrol hes lisensing issues and its not avalible. i mixed the crushed dunks with 3-4 gallions of water, i double baged gallion size ziplocks to contain the powder. a small mask to protect from inhailing and then strained it all through double ply cheese cloth, also the powder will agitate into the air easily so i found pooring slowly into the buckets of water is best. the cloudy solution was used to drench the soil untill runoff then whit my garden baster[turky baster] hehe i can suck the water up so the roots dont dround in it.

basically they act like army neemitodes in the larvil stage and chew threw the outer flesh of the stalk of clones like swiss chees then go for the roots and probly do the same to older plants, though older plants have biger roots that would be targeted.
overall the vigor and energy is down, but with a dosen sticky traps and this BT'i' biological pesticide i have hope this crop will be better then the last two.

plants be happier with out parisites mon' haha

ive been thinking about a coco-core run-to-waist system on a 4x4 ebb table but aslong as this BTi does its magic gnat larve will die and roots will be saved. their numbers will drop if the pots are allowed to dry compleatly, but ive read the larve actually burrow into the stalk when this occurs (causing the swiss cheese effect)

i have insecticidal soap now, some more mosquito bits this time, they both contain BTi. i'll keep an ey for flyers the next week or soo and deside if more is needed. the thing says to wait 14 days to re-apply. as i repot and bring more soil in it'll have to be treated, clones are most vulnerable i think cuz the gnats get traped under the dome.

im back down to 6 plants flowering now, as i desided to chop one early to disect[sp] after seeing the clone infestation. i wanted to see the damage to the mature stalk, plus the one plant had deformaties like missing branches, a bud would set where a branch is suposed to be..
they outdoor plants, the 5 i have out this early have all started to push flowers soo they will most likely have to be dug up root trimed and then re-poted to flower under the HPS.
tomarrow night i will try to get pics up of the clones, they will be my 6 outdoor plant this yr, well 6 of the 9. i dont plan on haveing c99 outside at all, oh and the TGU i have has huge ass buds all over and smells spice and allmost like pinsol reminds me of NL i grew but it seems to be resistant to everything.

hehe yea i know u live in cali i was just toasted when i left that..
but now that u mention sumthin about that larva shit i remember a plant i had a couple years back just fell over and when i cut the tops off there was a big ass magget lookin thing right in the main stalk about 4 inches above the soil level  i dont recall noticing ne thing wrong with the soil tho and i was using a plain ole potting mix back then so who knows wut it was, but im pretty sure it was a larva

everything else sounds good, i hear nuthin but good things about tgu i hope i git a chance to grow it next year :D

last thursday i picked up two packs of seeds from the closest pot club, they had an awsom selection of beans some from a bean bank right hear in cali.. four of each strain have been germinated and just today poved up to small starter pots, black domina originaly from sinsi seeds but ither re-bread or re-sold through a local seed bank, Skunk IBL from Hill Temple Collective was my other choise. $50 for the 14pk of black domina, actually their was an extra bean so 15pk. the 10pk of skunk was 70 i know very little of hill temple collective or their skunk but have faith as it germintation was 100% and the tap root hit the ground running, black domina was poted but had only just cracked no taproot yet. oh well..

the room is LOADED with buds now that i uprooted the 5 big mommas and took them in the room, i saw some gnarly looking spiders on the top growth befor i took them in. ive sprayed insect soap cause i saw thripes on them a week ago, sprayed again befor and after going indoors.

i moved the kush and GDP outside for the next 2 maby 3 weeks to finish, i know its time to put vegg plants out and i did that too but i needed room, theas girls are very close and least likely to revert back to vegg. TGU has been tied down and since took up all the avalible space, ive raised the light some to widen its horizontal reach so its all inuminated. the maui have been trained as well creating more of an open cannopy for each plant but crowding the room more and more.

with all this bush humidity has risen from a consistant 30 to 60, i havent seen a change in temp (high 70's tipically) but the humidity has me worried and checking for powdery mildue more often. spaying serinade works i know but i have to reserch when to stop befor harvest, id say two week but maby more?

a month or so ago i mixed some dirt together on a contcreat pad next to my house, mixing it with a flat spade and filled a 45gal plastic can w/it, i lugged it into the growroom and watered it lightly then im pulling it up mixing with a shovel at week inetervals.
im useing a product called liquid carma @ 1tbs per gallion, my soil has all the NPK in it so besides some age old ive set aside for foliage feed i wont need to mix liquid ferts. it goes like this.. for 5cubic ft of dirt plus 40 pounds of organics alive i mixed 5 cups of bone meal (1cup per cubic foot) 2 1/2 cups of blood meal 2 1/2 cups of a product called sul mag po(0-0-20) 2 1/2 cups alfalfa meal 2 1/2 cups kelp and 2 1/3 cups dolimit lime.

keep in mind this mix is enough to last me two cycles and i just have to remember to turn the dirt over and water it once a week maby to keep moist.

it started with 4 bags of dirt and 1 bag of organics alive compost/worm castings, i was instructed to use that at 20% of the poting mix.. one bag of black gold a bag of fox farm ocian forest and two bags of fox farm poting mix. it started as 5 cubic feet of soil with only thoes poting mixes, the organics alive didnt show the cubic footage but it's 40 pounds worth -the compost if vegitable only not mushroom so i wont have and of thoes poping up, their like weeds but possably poisonus/very toxic.

its designed so i only have to bubble water 24 hours then poor it into the pots, no mixing just fresh clean water with molasis sweetening every other week or so. i find black strap molasis has 2X more magnisium calsium and iron then grandmas and no sodium 'salt', plus its labled organic. mostly E.B. Stone products were used for this being they are very cheap and localy avalible, most 3-5lb boxes are only 7 bucks! i used a whole box of consern Diatomaceous earth while mixing to combad gnat larve and also fly larve tha burrow down into the rootzone.

its not hot eather, ive got black domina, skunk and sexy cindy in the new dirt not for a week and i feal really good about this dirt the plants look great.

ive had the c99 in the flower room now since may 20th to force a pre flower befor they re-vegg and off up some clones. the skunk and black domina has only been in 12/12 for 4 days so its still a few weeks till i know about thoes.. i did find a set of hairs on a cindy just yesterday, its has been put back under a 43w floro with 24hrs light.

it turns out the meeter i had a while back was faulty and the humidity is just fine, a bit low @ 30% during lights on but i read its good to keep powdery mildue from growing as fast. ive been spraying the 2 maui momas with a solution of 1/4 tsp earth juice PH up and a 1/8 tsp of coco wet per 28oz spray bottle it's an organic wetting agent to help a foliar spray take better to foliage... this is all to avoid the heavy residue of sarinade just two weeks befor harvest, so im useing a high ph water to try and kill the mildue thats present and creat an environment wear it cant servive. i just dont want to use sarinade this late in flower anymore, it seems i have a problem every time about 2-3 weeks befor harvest. the kush turned out very susepible to this and was discontinued.

the new strains have been growing vigoriously in the new dirt i mixed together, it doesnt seem too hot but i think thats cause the bone meals is very chunky and takes a white to break down. the Skunk IBL that wich is a very fast grower from germination to throwing the fastest flowers were all males -ive got six more in light warrior by fox farm, i also use that for my clones instead of rapid rooters or oasis material just keep in next to my boxed firts in a rubbermade

2 of the sexy cindies showed haires so their in vegg (now under the 400mh) allong with some GDP and Black Domina also some clones, TGU and Maui. i had rooted 5 very small GDP cuts a few weeks ago maby less and the rest were taken within the last week. i try to run the AC on high during light off to cool down the room real well befor the next hot day.. also it dehumidifies the air and that is good to reduce mildue or just the high humidity that comes after light off.

sorry the only pics i have untill the light flip on tomorrow are the male skunks, the pre-flowers that were suposed to show hairs early on. theas palnts have since gotten the pinch

i got another digi cam, well im beck to the crapy cam. hats left of the two maui are cureing in jars now, and one TGU is trimed and on the lines. im letting the other go a week longer becaus some foxtails have started with new growth for some reason its healthier then the rest.
the Maui did have one last wave of PM but i cut it the day it started so their wasnt even a thick layer just a begining hear and their. the TGU had no sighns of the mildue and i think its more resistant, also the high PH healped kill live spores and kep it back for atleast a week -i reaplied with 1/2 the orignial dose of ph up wich was still a high ph cause my ph is high out of the tapp.

for the last month or two ive been useing one 5 gal bucket and an air stone+pump to keep it airated and agitated so the chlorine is mostly eliminated also the fungus/bacterea that can grow in this is mostly benefital. if i add some guano the benefital organisms are injected and thoes will overrun any bad stuff that causes infection, but i mostly add molassis wich is high in minerals like magnesium calsium and iron also charbs and sugars thats also good for the plant.

this soil is amazing and ive re-used the dirt the male skunks were in, just mixed it back in with the heap. now everything is planted in it. the seedlings are big enough and the clones have rooted, so i now have last 6 skunk seeds under the hps to determin sex. their proply on their 2nd set of leafs but theirs lots of roots in the planter, plus i dont think the soil is too hot as most of the ammendments are slow-release thats only exelorated by benefital organizms. the bone meal was big as the perlite so it added airation the same, id say it was big enough to take a long while to break down compleatly.

the black domina is just days from giveing us her first smells, i see trichombs but their reall small yet. one is much taller then the others, i find it odd that all 3 domina that made it are female and all 4 skunks where male.. i took clones of all 3 domina's and the c99 had powdery mildue actually on the main stalk befor it even came to the leafs, asside from its bushy/lanky apearance i didnt keep it. the lankyness of it had me thinking the stems wouldnt get thick enough no mater how much calcium is in my dirt. for an indoor only strain i just cannot have PM tendancy, thoes strains get rooted out!!

pic #3 is 5 Granddady Purple that was toped yesterday to bush out, thoes are the Black Domina infont of the black hut. they have all been cloned and im desideing wich one to keep, ive heard the tallest but i think i just want the one w/the bigest buds
