You can pry the stupid bic "child safety" thing off, it's just a slightly round peice of metal that you have to press down hard onto to get the wheel to grind over the flint, right? Sore, sore thumbs if you don't.

the one i use lights every single time, no problem no child proof thing on it either. maybe mines a different kind of sumthing, but mine is perfect. or you could just use a match...

i use the bics that dont have those but when i have one with those one them i do take them off as well
